Solid Waste Services

  • Residents are responsible for securing their own waste hauler. Some options include:
    • Great Lake's Waste Services: 800-589-9139
    • Monroe's Rubbish Removal: 810-231-1055
    • Waste Management: 800-796-9696
  • Clean-up Days - One fall clean-up day per year (sometimes one in the spring if funding is available). Call 734-426-3767 or check online for exact dates, times, and acceptable and unacceptable items.

  • Western Washtenaw Recycling Authority (WWRA) Information
    • Recycling drop-off location in Dexter Township - Township Hall, 6880 Dexter-Pinckney Road
      • Place recyclables in the green box.
      • Hours - 24 hours

Yard Waste

  • There is no yard waste collection service in Dexter Township.
  • If you plan to have an open fire, call the Dexter Area Fire Department at 426-4500 to obtain a permit.
