Board of Public Works

The Board of Public Works operates pursuant to Public Act 185, and guides the Division of Public Works on its sewage disposal and collection, water treatment and supply, lake management and solid waste projects and activties in Washtenaw County.   The Board of Public Works, authorized and appointed by the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners, focuses on helping local communities address their environmental and public health problems and issues.  The board usually meets the third Wednesday of the month at the Western Washtenaw Service Center located at 705 Zeeb Road in Scio Township.
