Solid Waste Services
- Ann Arbor Township has a contract with Republic as their preferred
waste hauler until June of 2006. After this time a new waste hauler
may be contracted.

or call the township office at 734-663-3418 to verify the waste
hauler.
Recycling
Services
- Recycling is picked up curbside, every other week, on the same day as
trash pickup. To get a complete schedule of recycling

Accepted Materials for Recycling
Paper
Newspaper, magazines, office paper, phone books.
Metals
Aluminum and tin cans, scrap aluminum and steel.
Plastic
#1 PET plastic, #2 HDPE plastic bottles only. You will find the number
symbol on the bottom of the bottle. Discard caps before
recycling.
NO #1 or #2 plastic tubs, such as yogurt or butter containers, or
plastics #3-#7.
Glass
All colored glass bottles and jars.
Yard Waste
- Yard waste (grass clippings, leaves and small twigs) is collected
curbside, every other week, from the first of April through
November. The schedule is opposite that of recycling pickups,
therefore one week will be yard waste pickup and the next will be recycling
pickup.
- Please put your yard waste in paper bags or in containers marked
COMPOST. The containers may not weigh over 40 lbs.
- Burn permits can be obtained at Fire Station #1 at 3792 Pontiac Trail
or Fire Station #2 at 4319 Gross Rd. You can also call 734-741-5900
with questions.
