JC Beal Construction Inc., founded in 1962 and with offices in Ann Arbor and Detroit, serves commercial and mixed use building development clients throughout Michigan. We provide a broad range of General Contracting, Construction Management, and Design Build services, and focus our attention primarily on downtown renovation / restoration and infill projects, with about 85 % of our work being in these project types.

Sustainable Business Practices

JC Beal Construction Inc. works to bring sustainable design and construction to every project in which it is involved. The firm was, for example, involved in the U of M ST Dana Renovation, the first institutional LEEDs Gold certified project in Michigan. Perhaps more to the point however is the simple fact that all of our work, focused as it is on “downtown construction”, whether in the construction of new infill buildings like those proposed here or the renovation and adaptive reuse of existing structures, is by its very nature “green”. The reuse of existing sites, and existing buildings, preserves resources and promotes more compact energy efficient development. JC Beal also works to recycle both construction debris and recyclable material waste in its projects, saving literally 100’s of tons of waste from heading to Michigan landfills each year.
