Comprehensive Plan for Washtenaw County

Background:

On September 22, 2004, the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners adopted A Comprehensive Plan for Washtenaw County. Plan development began in mid-2003, and after numerous public meetings to gain valuable citizen input the Plan is complete. Public participation was an integral part of the process, and the Plan is truly a reflection of the issues and opportunities the citizens of the County have identified.

The Department would like to thank all the local governments, public officials, citizens, Board of Commissioner members, and the Planning Advisory Board for all of their input into making this Plan a success. The next step for the Planning staff and its partners is Plan implementation.
