MEET THE STAFF

Miss Kayla (Coordinator)
Hello everyone! My name is Kayla and I attend Eastern Michigan University studying Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development and I will be graduating next year. Previously, I spent my summers working on a Detroit River Tour Boat and I also worked at the Children’s Institute, located on EMU’s campus. I have a special interest in working will children and the outdoors. I strive for opportunities with hands-on learning, exploration, and most importantly, to have fun! This will be my first summer as a camp coordinator at Rolling Hills and I am looking forward to meeting everyone and can’t wait for the summer to begin!

Mr. Brett (Counselor)
Hey Campers! My name is Brett Clark and I am currently attending Michigan State University studying to become a middle/high school math and science teacher. I also plan on coaching sports, such as football and basketball in the future. I was a Resident Assistant, where I was in charge of creating events for all the students living on campus. I am currently on the Women’s Varsity Basketball practice team, where I scrimmage the team so they can be prepared for the season. I really love building relationships and connecting with people, and that is why I plan on becoming a teacher one day. This is also why I’m excited to meet everyone at camp this summer! My interests include playing sports, being outside, and really getting to know people. I really look forward to meeting all of you, and I know we are going to have an awesome summer!

Miss Courtney (Counselor)
Hi my name is Courtney Simpson. I am now a senior at Eastern Michigan University studying Criminal Justice. My main interest is in juvenile delinquency. I hope to one day be able to work personally with juveniles and help them get back on the right path. I have been working as an After Care supervisor for three years now. I have enjoy playing outside, doing art projects, science experiments, and really getting to know the kids. I love being outside and playing sports. I am so excited for camp to start!
