Meet the Staff

Miss Megan (Coordinator)
Hey campers! I'm Miss Megan and am really excited to be back at Rolling Hills! I worked as a lifeguard here for nine summers between 2004 and 2013. Last summer, I joined the Meri Lou Murray Day Camp as a counselor. I am a certified elementary and middle school language arts teacher and substitute throughout the school year while looking for a full-time teaching position. I love the outdoors, the Detroit Tigers, reading, teaching, and my two Poodles, Spanky and Darla. I can't wait to get camp started; we have a really awesome summer planned!

Mr. Richie
Hey everyone! My name is Richie and this will be my first summer working as a camp counselor at Rolling Hills. I just recently moved to Michigan and so far, I love it here! In the past, I've worked as a swim instructor for the YMCA in Toledo, Ohio. I attend Bowling Green State University and am part of the President's Leadership Academy which is a four year leadership development program. I am majoring in Political Science and Environmental Policy and Analysis; hoping to work with water policy in the future. I love adventure, swimming, climbing, travel, the outdoors, and just having fun! I can't wait to get to know everyone this summer!

Miss Sarah
Hi Campers! My name is Sarah and I graduated from Central Michigan University Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and a minor in American Sign Language. In the fall, I am attending graduate school for Speech Language Pathology at Grand Valley State University. My future goals are to have a successful career impacting the lives of people with communication disorders. I have a special interest for working with children and being outdoors, and that is why I am excited to work as a camp counselor this summer!

Mr. Alex
Hey Campers! I am really excited for camp this summer! I am currently attending Albion College where I am studying to become and Elementary Teacher. I will be Student Teaching in the fall of 2015. I have been a lifeguard at Rolling Hills for the past 4 summers and I really love the park. I graduated from Lincoln High School and have a lot of experience being on the park trails from my days running cross country. At Albion College, I am captain on the track and field team where I participate primarily in the hurdle events. I plan on running cross country in the fall to end my college career. I love summer, soccer, sunshine, God, reading, strawberries, being barefoot, Taylor Swift, running, long-boarding, and doing anything and everything active! A cool fact about me is that I am a triplet! My two brothers and I are really close, even though we don't look alike. I am looking forward to meeting all of you!
