Permit Rates & Process

An annual permit tag is required to be worn by all dogs inside the dog park. The permitting process is intended to help provide a safe environment for users and their pets. The fee schedule for 2007-2008 is as follows:

Resident and Non-resident $50 ($35 spayed/neutered, with certificate documentation)

Each Additional Dog $25 ($15 spayed/neutered, with certificate documentation)

The permit fee is waived for guide dogs that assist disabled individuals and those who have temporary ownership of guide or therapy dogs and dogs in training for such jobs. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Obtaining Permits

Permit tags are available from both the City of Ann Arbor (residents only) and the Washtenaw County Treasurer’s Office (all others).

To apply for a permit, dog owners must have their dogs licensed with the county or other applicable municipal jurisdiction. To obtain a permit, dog owners must complete a registration form, provide documentation of current dog rabies vaccination (license or certificate), and sign a waiver and release of liability.
