County Water Parks Open May 25!

Rolling Hills and Independence Lake County Parks both unveil splashy new water play features this Memorial Day weekend!

Since Labor Day last year, both popular facilities have been transformed to provide more splash ‘n’ spray fun.

Rolling Hills Water Park has been expanded to include a new bath house, entrance plaza, parking lot and three-story tall water slide structure: Plunge Peak.  Plunge Peak features three new slides, including a speed slide and two spiral slides.  The water park also features a wave pool, lazy river, “Slide Mountain” water slides and a splash pad.  Enjoy full concessions to accommodate an entire day at the water park.

Independence Lake County Park is celebrating the opening of a new spray park, Blue Heron Bay, which features water fun for all ages!  The toddler zone includes sensory features such as a frog pouring water from its mouth and turtle squirting water from its shell.  The family zone is home to geysers, water tunnels and overhead dumping buckets.  A giant spider looms over the “tween” zone, where older kids can also enjoy swivel water cannons.  Take a thrilling ride down one of two new 24-foot tall water slides, which also provide great views of Independence Lake.  A full-service concession stand, featuring an outdoor BBQ grill and healthy treats, will keep your energy up as you enjoy the day at Blue Heron Bay.

For fees, hours and directions, visit the Rolling Hills or the Independence Lake County Parks webpages.
