As fall approaches we look back on another successful summer at County Parks and Recreation. Park enhancements, such as the new climbing boulder at Independence Lake Park, and events including Log Cabin Day and Huron River Dayhelp to improve County residents recreation experience. Though summer is the most active time of the year, WCPARC offers fun for every season. Autumn is the perfect time to visit the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center. We offer cardio and strength training equipment, fitness and dance classes, instructional swim lessons, and, new for fall, Tae Kwon Do. Or, continue to enjoy outdoor activities at other County Parks. NAPP properties and Park Lyndon are particularly wonderful places to experience changing leaf colors and wildlife preparing for winter. For a little more physical activity, Rolling Hills and Independence County Lake Parks offer hiking trails and groomed x-country ski trails when the weather gets cold. Of course, if youre looking for a little more human interaction, County Parks offers events and interpretive programs throughout the year. Check the back page for our fall calendarwe hope you visit all year round!
