Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center

When the recreation center first opened in 1991, the estimated number of annual pass holders was in the low hundreds. Today, we have over 5,000 annual pass holders and more than 370,000 daily and annual pass visits each year. That’s an average of more than 1,000 visitors per day! And, our dedicated staff of full and part time employees keep the recreation center running smoothly year round.

The Meri Lou Murray staff is a terrific group of enthusiastic and dependable people determined to keep this busy facility well-maintained and operating efficiently. They clean the building and repair the equipment; keep the heat on and the hot water flowing; process applications and registrations; organize special events, camps and after school programs; supervise the instructors, life guards, desk attendants and housekeeping crew; and more.
