Thank You To All For Another
Fantastic Garden Season!
Once again, the many landscape gardens of Washtenaw County Parks are beautiful thanks to our dedicated and enthusiastic Master Gardener volunteers and Park staff.
Master Gardeners joined us at six different parks and helped accomplish a myriad of horticultural goals throughout the season. Our heartfelt "Thank You Very Much" goes to Carol Archer, Marsha Bunton, Ron Carpinella, Mary Dailey, Jaqueline Delevie, Margaret Devantier, Bob Devereaux, Aunita Erskine, Laurel Fields, Carol Figarra, Betty Fodor, Susan Hamady, John Hochstetler, Mary Kalem, Tom Kenny, Judy McArthur, Dee Miles, Bob Miller, Sandra Miller, Esther Petrovich, Melanie Pitts, Vicki Roberts, Brenda Schrader, Candace Shelly, Julie Spencer, Elaine Umboltz, Karen Wongstrom, Bev Yelsik, and Elly Uterbrink for their wonderful helping hands. You have all given just the right touch to enhance our landscape gardens for everyone to enjoy!
Park Horticulture Assistant
Kathryn LaRock fearlessly took on all that goes into tending landscape
gardens—unfailingly watering and feeding hundreds of trees and shrubs
throughout this droughty year. She has been working hard right along with
our other seasonal garden staff; Gary and Glenda Willis of Rolling Hills and
Denny Steele at Pierce Lake Golf Course.
I have really enjoyed working with everyone! (And our plants thank you all too!)
