Miller Preserves, and well visit again in winter and spring to reassess the potential routes. Ideally, trail planning is a thorough and thoughtful process that involves visiting the site over several seasons to determine the areas to bring people to or through, areas to avoid/protect, the best views, etc. Rustic, natural-surface trails can then be established. Typically, the trails in our preserves are 4 wide, less in woodland areas, and a bit wider if mown through areas of tall prairie grasses. Currently, there are established trails at the Brauer, DeVine, Kosch-Headwaters, and Leonard Preserves.

Please visit us online at napp.ewashtenaw.org to check it out. This is a work in progress, so look for more photos and more information about the preserves over the coming months.
