275 Acres on River Raisin Preserved (September 2004)
The Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission announces two important property purchases made through its Natural Areas Preservation Program (NAPP). Both properties are located in the southwestern portion of Washtenaw County and both border the River Raisin, contributing to the protection of the second largest watershed in the County (River Raisin). These two sites bring the total land preserved by NAPP up to 715 acres. Visitor access to these natural areas will be provided later this year.
