Junior Naturalist



Join our Park Naturalist in exploring the natural areas of Washtenaw County through the Junior Naturalist Program!

Discover, investigate, and enjoy fun adventures in the outdoors!

Program Details

This program is a year round series. For each program attended, children will receive a Junior Naturalist Badge. If children attend four programs during the year they will receive a prize of nature study tools to further their naturalist skills.

Each program is approximately 1.5 hours long and will be held outdoors - please bring water, sunscreen, insect repellent, weather appropriate clothing, and sturdy shoes. 

Programs are free for Washtenaw County residents.

A vehicle entry fee is required for sessions at Independence Lake and Rolling Hills parks. Yearly passes are available for purchase.

Pre-registration is required. SPACE IS LIMITED! We will accept 10 children per program -  check availability and reserve your spot here!
