Landscapes and Gardens to be found

Among Washtenaw County Parks there are more than 166 interesting and diverse gardens and landscape planting areas!

County Farm Park has 3 main gardens with multiple planting areas that total 77 areas, plus open spaces and woodland burns:

  • Perennial Garden/36
  • Recreation Center/16
  • Administrative Building/12, plus - 4 other Planting Areas: 
            East Pavilion/4
        Nursery & Native Grasses/2
        West Pavilion/5
        Bike Path/3

Independence Lake Park has 9 planting areas, plus several prairie burn areas.

Parker Mills Park has 1 main garden with 7 planting Areas, plus natives & wet prairie burns.

Pierce Lake Golf Course and Park has 34 (which includes the 3 Rock Gardens, #4 Tee and the Pond Garden).

Rolling Hills Park has 26 planting areas, plus a prairie burn.

Sharon Mills Park has 4 main gardens plus 16 planting areas.
