Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center
New program - No School Fun Days...
Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation is pleased to offer "No
School Fun Days" in conjunction with the Ann Arbor Public School
Calendar. This is an opportunity for families to receive "daycare" for
1st through 5th graders when the Ann Arbor Public Schools have a planned

Background and Information on the Recreation Center
Since the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center opened in 1991 it has been a popular venue for recreation enthusiasts. The center has approximately 51,000 square feet of space dedicated to fitness and recreation. There are close to 400,000 visitors annually.

Amenities available at the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center include:
- 4 lane wheelchair accessible swimming pool
(25 yards long, 3 1/2' shallow end, 6 1/2' deep end) - Gymnasium (multi-court)
- Cardio Training equipment including stationary bikes, stepper units, rowers, treadmills and elliptical cross trainers
- Strength Training equipment including weight circuit stations, incline benches, hand weights and a multi-station weight machine for users with disabilities
- Two lane walk/run track
- Men's and women's locker rooms with 25 cent coin operated lockers
- An Assisted Care locker room for anyone needing assistance changing to or from exercise or swim apparel
- Class offerings include fitness, dance, water exercise and instructional swim
Photo ID is required for entry. Youth 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who remains in the facility. Without an adult guardian, youth under 12 will not be admitted. Fees are based on the following categories.
