Anglers have great times catching blue gill, bass and other pan fish at many of our parks. 

Pier at Indepedence Lake Fishing is available throughout Independence Lake Park.  Popular sites are the fishing pier and along the shore.  Common fish caught are Blue Gill, Perch and Pike.  Vehicle admission fees apply.
The 4-acre, spring-fed pond at Rolling Hills is the home of large mouth bass and bluegills. Visitors may fish from the bank or from either of two fishing piers, one of which is handicapped accessible. Vehicle admission fees apply. Fishing Piers at Rolling Hills Pond

 

 

Pick a spot along the bank at Cavanaugh Lake - a very popular fishing spot in northwest Washtenaw County.

Fish the River Raisin from one of the dam overlooks at Sharon Mills.

Fishing is permitted at the following areas in Parker Mill Park -

  • Area #1-Fleming Creek, north of the pioneer log cabin only - no fishing along Hoyt Post Trail
  • Area #2- Huron River near the Dixboro Rd. dam and footbridge 

A fishing license (not available for purchase at our parks) is required and all Department of Natural Resources regulations are to be followed.

Turtles, frogs, and snakes may not be taken from WCPARC Parks or waters.
