Free Pops Concert at Riverside Park-Moved to Sunday 5/27 @ 2pm

The Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission presents Ypsi Pops, a free concert by the Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra, at Ypsilanti’s Riverside Park on Sunday, May 27th at 2:00 pm. The concert will include music from Broadway musicals, movie themes and patriotic favorites. Concert goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating and park in the Depot Town parking lots or the lot at the south end of Riverside Park. In case of rain, the concert will be rescheduled for 2 pm, Sunday, May 27th.

Pellerito Purchase: 100 Acres Added to the Superior Greenway in Superior Township

The purchase of 100 acres of land in Superior Township, concluded on April 10 of this year, is a great example of like minded organizations collaborating to maximize resources to acquire a special property for public benefit. The parties involved were the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission - the administrator of the County’s Natural Areas Preservation Program, the City of Ann Arbor Greenbelt Program, and the Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy.
