Events and Programs: Exploring Opportunities for Social Change

During this interactive, participatory presentation, Els Nieuwenhuijsen will explore with the audience the role of the social and physical environment for people with low vision/blindness.  She will give a brief introduction of a commonly accepted definition of functioning, disability, and health.  Next, she will invite the audience to share experiences on accessibility and participation in community, social, and civic life, and and ideas for social change.
