FOR THE FOURTH YEAR IN A ROW (and even the Lakers & Bulls couldn't pull that off!) Washtenaw County's public web site -eWashtenaw.org- has been named Michigan's best County web site.
The rankings are part of Cyber-State.org's "2002 Local Government & Community Initiative" to find BEST PRACTICES among Michigan's local government web sites. And who's the best of the best? You got it: eWasthtenaw.org!
"Washtenaw County is in its fourth year as number one online Michigan County; the site is a well organized, comprehensive, easy to use site. Its content organization by function, service, and end-user perspective adds efficiency in finding information. The organizational commitment and support for e-government and department participation in content development is evident throughout the site."
The site was assessed and analyzed at two different times during the past year. Scores were complete February 21, 2003 and posted March 11, 2003.
Congratulations to Mary Udoji, Charley Wolfe, MLI's Heather Reed, Shahzad Rauf, Stacie Sheldon, Shawn Stemen, Dave Mote and so many contributing hands and heads from other ITS professionals -including the many technology and web content liaisons who keep the site current, efficient and interesting!
(By the way, a slight problem with the Cyber-State.org site blended last year's press release with this year's: this IS the 4th, not the 3rd win for Washtenaw County!)
