In order to meet increased demand for parking at the Washtenaw County Service Center at the corner of Hogback and Washtenaw in Pittsfield Township, the Office of Infrastructure Management will begin reconstruction of the existing parking lot and construction of a new lot. Members of the public will begin to see construction activities begin during the second week of August and construction will continue through the fall.
There are four main phases to the Service Center Parking Lot Reconstruction, which include:
Phase 1: Storm sewer work from the Tower to the DB lot and the construction of a new lot
Phase 2: Reconstruction of the east half of the main lot
Phase 3: Reconstruction of the west half of the main lot
Phase 4: Reconstruction of the drive to Hogback
The storm sewer work will start first at the tower and work out toward the new parking lot. A timeline for the four phases can be found here.
