SALARY RANGE $7.40 - $8.40/hr (eligible for $0.25/hr bonus upon completion of criteria)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision of a higher classified employee, this position involves performing janitorial maintenance on park buildings and grounds, selling vehicle admission permits and equipment rentals, operating a point of sale system, making change, and keeping records. Patrols park facilities and enforces park rules. Assists in pre-season start-up and post-season shut-down activities and other duties as assigned. Operational season varies depending on park location and time of year. Reports to Park Ranger Supervisor, PArk Manager or higher authority.

EDUCATION: Possession of high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: This is an entry-level position; experience is not required but is preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to and from the work site.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have working knowledge of point of sale system, making change, and completing reports. Must be able to interact pleasantly with general public and co-workers. Must have strong communication skills and a customer service philosophy. Typical work schedule includes one weekend and four weekday shifts including evenings and holidays.
