JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision of a higher classified employee, position involves supervising the daily operation of a seasonal (Memorial Day through Labor Day) food service facility, includes pre-season and post-season operations, staff selection, training and supervision, food preparation, inventory control, health code compliance, and customer service. Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to: Performs facility pre-season start-up and post-season shut-down activities. Assists with staff selection and performs training, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation. Performs food preparation and training of food preparation staff. Maintains product and supplies inventory and conducts inventory audits. Assures product and service quality control. Assures compliance with all health code regulations. Completes weekly reports and performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: High School graduation required. Post high school course work in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related studies preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months management experience in the hospitality or food service industry.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to and from the work site.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have working knowledge of food service equipment, including gas fired grill, ovens, freezers and refrigerators, sort-serve machine, ice machines, and other various food prep machines, plus cash management system. Must be able to interact pleasantly with the general public.  Must be able to motivate and lead a team of young adults to provide high quality service. Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays. Typical work schedule includes four weekday and one weekend shifts. Must have strong communication skills and customer service philosophy.
