TITLE: Bookkeeper/Accountant (2 positions)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision of a higher classified employee, this position involves accurately accounting for revenue from several park operation functions, strong customer service skills, ability to do basic troubleshooting of Point of Sale & credit card systems, and requires accurate reporting. Operation season is from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Reports to Park Manager or higher authority.

EDUCATION: Post high school course work in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one (1) year experience as a bookkeeper/accountant.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have working knowledge of computer-based Point of Sale cash accounting and registration system; credit card terminals; computers; Microsoft Office; cash handling and making change; creating and maintaining reports; bookkeeping and accounting practices and principles; be able to interact pleasantly with staff members and the general public. Must have strong in-person and telephone communication skills, and public service philosophy. Must also have valid Michigan Driver’s License and ability to get to and from work site, and be able to work weekends and evenings.
