Our Mission
To take a leadership role in insuring that all County financial obligations are met by providing fiscal permanence within Washtenaw County Government.
The Finance Department provides five service programs
Accounting
Provides accurate and timely financial information for reporting and decision making purposes.
Internal Audit
Reviews and monitors County fiscal activity to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements.
Budget
Provides the resources necessary for programs to fulfill their obligations by producing, implementing, monitoring and communicating a biennial Budget Summary.
Payables/Payroll
Ensures that all County financial obligations are met in timely and cost efficient manner.
Purchasing
Procures goods and services for County departments in a cost efficient and timely manner.
