Food and Nutrition Education

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-ED) is a food and nutrition education program for persons eligible for or receiving food stamps/cash out. SNAP-ED provides education in:
- Nutrition
- Making delicious, low cost, quick and easy meals and snacks
- Food selection
- Stretching your food dollar
- Improving your shopping skills
- Food safety
It also acquaints participants with available local services. The SNAP-ED audiences and educational activities are based on community needs and decisions. Activities are supported by collaborations with community human service agencies. On site groups and one-on-one instruction is offered.
