Family Nutrition Program (FNP) is a food and nutrition education program for persons eligible for or receiving food stamps/cash out. FNP provides education in:

  • Nutrition
  • Making delicious, low cost, quick and easy meals and snacks
  • Food selection
  • Stretching your food dollar
  • Improving your shopping skills
  • Food safety
It also acquaints participants with available local services. The FNP audiences and educational activities are based on community needs and decisions. Activities are supported by collaborations with community human service agencies. Summertime is a great time to eat more fruits and vegetables.  According to the National Cancer Institute, eating lots of fruits and vegetables as a part of a low-fat, high-fiber diet may help reduce cancer risk.
