SNAP-ED
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-ED) is a food and nutrition education program for persons eligible for or receiving food stamps/cash out. SNAP-ED provides education in:
- Nutrition
- Making delicious, low cost, quick and easy meals and snacks
- Food selection
- Stretching your food dollar
- Improving your shopping skills
- Food safety
Summertime is a great time to eat more fruits and vegetables. According to the National Cancer Institute, eating lots of fruits and vegetables as a part of a low-fat, high-fiber diet may help reduce cancer risk.
