Summer Youth Employment Program
ETCS is excited about this new commitment of federal funds to SYEP - a valuable program intended to prepare our young people for real-world work expectations, career instruction, financial literacy, academic improvement and social growth.
The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides Washtenaw County youth between the ages of 14 and 24 who meet eligibility requirements with summer employment opportunities where they can earn and learn. Participants can work in a wide variety of venues, such as government agencies, hospitals, nonprofits, businesses, museums, and sports enterprises.
The Summer Youth Employment Program strives to:
- Emphasize real-world work experience
- Provide opportunities for career instruction, financial literacy training, academic improvement, and social growth
