is responsible with overseeing the employment and training services
at the Washtenaw County Michigan Works! Service Center.

Yes. Assistance is available to people who do not speak

Yes. All of the services available to job seekers are free of charge.
Job Search Assistance

I need help with my job search. Is there someone I can speak
to?
Yes. For one-on-one assistance, ask to speak to a Resource Room staff
member. You can also participate in the free, weekly seminars
offered at the center.

Do you have applications for state, county and city
jobs?
Yes. Please ask the Resource Room staff how to access these applications.

Do you help youth/teens with their job search?
Yes. The Service Center staff provides assistance to all job
seekers. Please ask to speak to a Youth/Teen representative.

Do you provide help with creating resumes?
Yes. Michigan Works! offers free resume writing classes each week at the
Service Center. You can ask a Resource Room staff member for assistance
on how to access our resume writing software tools on-line.

I do not know how to use a computer. Can you help?
Yes. Washtenaw Community College offers a free course
called Computers Dont Byte at the Service Center.

Can you provide me with my employment history?
No. There is no agency that maintains work history records.

Can I get child care assistance?
Certain employment programs may offer child care assistance
to participants.

Do you have a program that pays for training?
Yes. For eligible participants, assistance may
be available to pay for education and training. You need to
visit a Michigan Works! staff member at the Service Center.
