Weatherization ARRA

As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act our Weatherization office recieved an additional $4.2 million to weatherize 600 homes in Washtenaw County over the next three years. Weatherization received more Recovery Act funding than any other program in Washtenaw County.

Although we have not yet recieved the money, we are still accepting applications. In fact, our inspectors approved 86 jobs between April and June of this year, nearly three-times as many during the same period last year. The local press, including WEMU, the  Ann Arbor Chronicle, the Ann Arbor News  have been very helpful in spreading the word about this wonderful opportunity for families in Washtenaw County to save money in these difficult economic times.
