Operating a Summer Youth Employment Program Project

Washtenaw County Purchasing Division on behalf of Washtenaw County ETCS is seeking proposals for the 2009 Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) that will offer program activities for youth to begin no earlier than June 15, 2009 and operate for up to nine weeks through August 14, 2009. For project planning, start-up and outreach activities, contracts may commence upon approval from June 1, 2009 and operate through September 30, 2009, for project close-out activities.

Note: Organizations who respond to this RFP are requesting operational funds, such as staffing, supplies. If your organization is not seeking any operational funds and want to participate in the SYEP program by providing a supervised work experience site where youth can be placed you do not need to submit an RFP.
