Swisher Commercial is a full-service, independent brokerage firm specializing in commercial and investment properties. A wide variety of materials are recycled from the facility, including paper, cardboard, containers, computers, and fluorescent lights. Swisher Commercial also tries to decrease its need for both recycling and waste disposal through waste reduction and reuse practices. For example, email is used instead of paper correspondences to reduce the amount of paper needing to be reclaimed. They also close the recycling loop by purchasing copier paper and file folders made from recycled content materials. In order to ensure that Swishers program runs smoothly, an employee has been designated to oversee their waste reduction and recycling activities and introduce new employees to the system. Swisher has also taken energy conservation initiatives by replacing old fluorescent fixtures with T8 or T5 bulbs and electronic ballasts.
