Sustainable Business Practices

NuStep sells, manufactures, repairs and distributes the original seated stepper exercise machine. NuStep went from being a company that didnt recycle anything to one that now recycles and reuses many items. Once they implemented a waste reduction and recycling program, they were able to cut their weekly garbage pickup from 2 to 1 time per week and even reduced their garbage container size. Instead of just placing paper with printing on one side in a recycling bin, employees try to reuse it. Electronic or web based documents are used to reduce the amount of paper consumed. Additionally, the copier paper and toner cartridges purchased are made from recycled content materials. NuStep has also started sending all used pallets to a company that repairs and reuses them to cut down on pallet usage and waste. When asked why they operate an environmentally friendly waste management program, Nustep states, We are simply trying to be smart about reducing, reusing and recycling. We want to contribute what we can to preserving our environment and the community.
