Sustainable Business Practices

Miles of Golf is one of the largest custom golf club fitters in the country, and also offers a practice facility, golf academy, and specialty services including corporate entertainment, lessons for corporate wellness programs, and personalized apparel and golf balls for corporate customers. Miles of Golf has been able to reduce its waste stream through several waste reduction, reuse, and recycling initiatives. Employees are educated about the program and are encouraged to participate as soon as they are hired. Management staff strives to set an example for the employees to continue active participation in waste reduction activities, which include encouraging double-sided printing and electronic communications, reusing folders, mugs or utensils, toner cartridges, boxes, and packing material, and recycling paper, plastic containers, packaging materials and yard waste. Miles of Golf also conserves energy by replacing incandescent light bulbs with fluorescent ones and employing night setbacks and timers on external lights.
