Mikan Corporation, founded in 1990, is a full service, one stop source for your printing and imaging needs. We are a quality manufacturer of compatible toner cartridges for printers, fax and copiers. Mikan is a Hewlett Packard Authorized Sales and Laser Printer Service provider. We offer over 9000 OEM and compatible office supplies, printer parts and office equipment. We are WBE (Woman Business Enterprise) certified by the WBENC & NWBOC and DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) certified by the MDOT. In 2004, Mikan principals Maggie & Mike Stevens acquired a 10,000 sq foot building for remanufacturing cartridges and servicing laser printers.

Sustainable Business Practices

Mikan Corporation remanufactures and recycles toner cartridges for laser printers, fax machines, and copiers. Over 80% of their business is involved with recycling products. Most of the components they use in their products are reused or recycled including the outer shell, aluminum drums, cardboard, foam inserts, and packing material. A wide range of materials are reused on site, including dishes, hand towels, folders, cleaning cloths, envelopes and boxes. An employee has been designated to oversee the recycling program and ensures that their recyclable materials are transported to the recycling drop-off center in Ann Arbor. In addition, Mikan fills a cubic yard recycle dumpster, with cardboard, weekly. Mikan also closes the recycling loop by purchasing products made from recycled content materials and using recycled components in their products. Since 1990 we have recycled over 800 tons of toner cartridges, 36 tons of aluminum drums and 36 tons of cardboard. Mikan also works with organizations throughout SE Michigan to keep toner cartridges out of landfills and donating cartridge proceeds to local non-profits.
