Sustainable Business Practices

The Kuehnle family has been dedicated to recycling for over 30 years, executing recycling practices in their family business, The Chelsea Collection, a retail consignment shop in downtown Chelsea. They reduce waste at the store through electronic communication, double-sided printing, and by reusing folders, boxes, packing material, mugs, utensils, and toner cartridges. They also close the recycling loop by purchasing recycled toner cartridges. Cardboard is recovered from neighboring businesses for storage and shipping. Waste reduction is a priority, and education is key for the Chelsea Collection. With very few employees, everyone is aware of recycling policies and active at executing them.
