Sustainable Business Practices

Cartridges for Kids helps schools, churches, day care centers, and charitable organizations raise funds through their recycling efforts. Through establishing drop-off sites at organizations enrolled in the program and facilitating the recycling of inkjet, laser and toner cartridges, cell phones, laptops, PDAs, and iPods, Joyce Barszcz Program Coordinator for Washtenaw County is able to continually raise awareness and educate her members on the benefits of recycling. In addition to recycling being the basis of her organization, Joyce also reuses and recycles standard office supplies and closes the recycling loop by buying as many products made of recycled content as she can.
