Sustainable Business Practices

Arbor Psychological Consultants, P.C. continues to follow the recycling and reuse procedures that the business has had in place since 1991. The three employees of the company follow these procedures in order to recycle and reuse as much as possible. Talking to other staff members is used rather than email or paper memos and a variety of other materials are reused in the office. The company recycles all paper products, cans, packaging materials, and yard waste. In addition, they purchase a wide variety of items containing recycled content materials, including letterhead, copier paper, company brochures, other paper products, garbage bags, and compost. As a result of Arbor Psychological Consultants efforts, they have noticed a marked decrease in their garbage collection. To save energy, they purchase ENERGY STAR rated office equipment, place external lights on timers, perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and employ night setbacks when the building is unoccupied.
