Fingerle Lumber Co. is family-owned and has
been in continuous operation in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan since 1931. We
feature the most complete selection of lumber, millwork, and related
building materials at one location in the Midwest. We take pride in our

Sustainable Practices

We have green dumpsters that we use for cardboard.

We have paper recycling bins in every office.

We have a spot where we place pallets for the general public to take
for free as opposed to simply throwing them in a landfill.

We cut up damaged or unsaleable lumber for kindling that we sell.

We try to use both sides of copy paper and/or cut it up for
note-taking prior to throwing this paper into the recycling bins.

We turn off as many lights and computers at night as we can.

We recently replaced a number of incandescent light bulbs with
fluorescents in our cabinet display area resulting in a brighter area
and fewer bulbs having to be replaced on a regular basis.
