Saline Picture Frame Co
7641 N. Ann Arbor St.
Saline, MI 48176
We opened our original store in 1988 in downtown Saline, Michigan. After ten years we outgrew our space at 109 E. Michigan and purchased our current building, the former Otto's Cheese Shop, in 1998. Sara Bowe is the managing partner at our Saline store where she also oversees our commercial framing operation. Sara has been framing since the Carter administration, is a Certified Picture Frame, and is a talented frame designer. Along with complete custom framing services, our Saline store carries a fun and eclectic selection of gifts and accessories, ready made frames, framing hardware, and offers our unique "Mats in a Minute" while you wait mat cutting service.
Sustainable Business Practices
Saline Picture Frame Company not only provides clients with quality picture framing services, but also helps keep materials out of the landfill at the same time. By utilizing e-mail, double-sided printing, and paperless invoicing as well as by reusing folders, boxes, scrap metal, and packing materials, they are reducing the amount of waste they produce at their facility. Paper, cardboard, containers, scrap aluminum, packaging materials, foam, and other items are all hauled to a drop-off center for recycling. By purchasing items such as paper, calculator tape, cardboard boxes, file folders, and compost made from recycled content materials, they are helping to close the recycling loop. Not only does the Saline Picture Frame Company reduce, reuse, and recycle, but they help others to do so as well through their distribution of scrap framing materials to art teachers and artists. Last year, 2000 lbs. of matboard was recycled and distributed to art teachers. The company also collects foam pellets and other packing materials from other area businesses to re-use in product shipping.
