Sustainable Business Practices
Ten employees run and operate this theatre, which draws patrons from 27 other counties in Michigan as well as 7 counties in Ohio. In order to reduce waste, Performance Network employs a variety of procedures, including the use of paperless invoicing, electronic documents, and email for communication. They are also able to reuse an assortment of items on a regular basis, such as folders, envelopes, boxes, packing material, mugs/utensils, toner cartridges, paper and the materials used for set production. Recycling is also practiced at Performance Network items include white paper, cans, packaging materials, mixed paper, glass, wood debris, computers, and plastics. Due to these practices, they have been able to decrease the amount of waste sent to the landfill.
