Abbotts Landscape and Nursery
2781 Scio Church Rd.
Ann Arbor, MI 48103
Abbott's Nursery is a family owned and operated landscaping center serving Ann Arbor residents since 1981
Our property is an 18th century farm converted into a plant nursery and garden center. We offer products ranging from mulch and topsoil through stunning perenials and the hardiest trees and shrubs around. We also offer a range of potting supplies, garden tools, garden ornaments, wind chimes, and books. Our services range from expert advice in our garden center, landscape design/consulting services, and of course great work crews to help you install, plant, and mulch your landscaping dreams into reality.
Our greatest asset is our service. Unlike the big-box stores that also sell plants, we live for plants and love to share our expertise with you. Stop by the nursery soon and let us show you around.
Sustainable Business Practices
A long established local landscape company providing services in Washtenaw County and surrounding communities for over 15 years. With more than 20 employees, Abbotts Landscaping has a long history of practicing numerous waste reduction activities as part of their daily business operations. They continue to use tree trimmer waste and woodchips to Heal-In protect and support the root balls on their large tree inventory. Once this material breaks down and composts, they further use it in gardens and offer it to customers. They purchase and promote the sale of organic herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers as well as practice integrated pest management. All but one of their buildings on site are over 100 years old and the company continues to be without air conditioning units to help keep energy costs and their environmental footprint to a minimum. Abbotts Landscape has also built Shade Racks to reduce the amount of irrigation / water use. Old newspaper is offered to line customers trunks instead of plastic. Abbotts Landscape is a green partner and will continue to practice and educate their employees on the benefits of waste reduction practices.
