Coaches Catastrophe Cleaning Services
Sustainable Business Practices
Coachs Catastrophe Cleaning Services specializes in carpet cleaning, water remediation, and fire restoration. They have increased the amount of recycled materials by 30% over the past year. On average, the company makes three to four trips per week to recycling drop-off centers to recycle such items as paper products, packaging material, wood debris and scrap metal. Coachs commonly reuses boxes and paper when moving items in and out of fire damaged or flooded homes. Some furniture damaged in a fire or flood cannot always be restored to its original condition, and when this occurs, often the customer and their insurance agency recommend the item be discarded. As an effort to both keep these items out of the landfill and help their community at the same time, Coachs cleans and dries these items at their own expense and donates them to local charities. Employees also collect pop bottles and cans, which the company matches dollar for dollar and the money is donated to families in need. With all of these programs in place, it is easy to see why Coachs has been honored in the past with the Environmental Excellence Award in Waste Reduction and Recycling. Coachs is also a leader in energy conservation. They use fluorescents T8 or T5 bulbs, purchase energy star office equipment, place external lights on timers, perform routine preventative maintenance on major equipment, and install variable air volume systems in heating and cooling equipment.
