Michigan Schools Pandemic Planning Workbook & Online Toolkit for Educators
The Michigan Departments of Community Health and Education, along with representatives from local health departments and schools, have developed a workbook for school officials to use in planning for an influenza pandemic.  The workbook also includes suggested lesson plans and resources for educating the students on disease spread and mitigation.  Complete Information

Washtenaw County's Outdoor Warning Siren System
The Emergency Management Division is responsible for the activation of thirty-one designated outdoor warning sirens throughout Washtenaw County.   Except for scheduled testing, these sirens will be activated when significant severe weather has been detected (a tornado or a severe thunderstorm with damaging winds confirmed to be in excess of 70 MPH); when a hazardous materials accident occurs that requires immediate protective action by the public, or for other critical events such homeland security emergencies.  Complete Information
