What does M3P do for young people in Washtenaw County?
Friends, family and teachers are often the first to recognize the signs of mental illness in young people, but dont always know what to do next if they feel they need help.
The Michigan Prevents Prodromal Progression, or M3P, is a treatment research program that offers FREE initial assessments and consultations. You can also contact them for additional resources and services, or if you are interested in having education programs at your school, church or organizations, the people at M3P can help you there, too.
Visit the website (http://preventmentalillnessmi.org/) to learn more about mental illness signs and treatments and learn more about M3P. The website and program are supported through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
M3P serves Washtenaw County residents age 12-25. If you are in need of services, but do not meet the age guidelines for M3P, you can contact Washtenaw County Access at 1-800-440-7548.
For a crisis or if you need immediate attention, you may contact Access, (800-440-7548), Psychiatric Emergency Services (734-996-4747) or Public Safety at 9-1-1.
