Infant Mental Health ~ Services for Children with Developmental
Disabilities
- Outpatient Treatment:
Begins with an assessment and development of a family-centered plan.
Frequency of sessions is determined by need and agreement between the
Family and the Mental Health Professional. Case service management is
provided to schools and other agencies as needed. Services also available
in Chelsea and Manchester. Current CSTS clients who are interested can
talk to their CSTS Worker, all others should contact
Access.
- Respite: Provides
support to families with emotionally disturbed children and adolescents and
serves families where a parent has a mental illness. Program works to match
families with trained respite providers or may use family friends to
assist. Vouches for community activities are also sometimes available.

- Wraparound:
Develops a family-centered plan through the joint effort of a Child
and Family Team. The Child and Family Team determine the necessary services
and supports, and can develop flexible services as needed. Also uses a
Child and Family team to assist families involved with many agencies, or
when children are at risk for out-of-home placement.
- Family Unit: Provides parents
(biological, adoptive or step) of children (0-17) a psychiatric evaluation
and medication management. Assists parent/client with issues related
to their children's behavior/emotional well being with services including
family therapy and case service management.
- Infant Mental Health: Provides
home-based services for parents with infants up to 3 years of age who are
at high risk of developing emotional, behavioral, or relationship problems.
Works to assist families with multiple stressors and needs that require a
combination of supports coordination, relationship-focused therapy, and
activities promoting positive parent-infant interactions.
- Services for Children with Developmental
Disabilities: Provides services in a range of settings
and at varying levels of intensity based upon individual needs. Limited
respite services may be available for children with developmental
disabilities. Offers supports for the opportunity to develop or maintain
daily living and/or social and interpersonal skills, the maintenance of
health and safety, and provide behavioral and therapeutic support and
intervention.
