Programs & Services
Community Support & Treatment Services (CSTS) is the agency contracted by the Washtenaw Community Health Organization (WCHO) to provide “Specialty Services” to the severely and persistently mentally ill as well as Adults with Developmental Disabilities, and children with Severe Emotional Disturbances or Developmental Disabilities.
Services are available to eligible persons regardless of age, sex, race, ethnicity, sexual preference, marital status, religion, physical or mental handicaps, and/or ability to pay. CSTS serves visually impaired, hearing impaired and sites are wheelchair accessible
Funds to provide the services are received from governmental appropriations, Michigan's Department of Community Health, the United Way , donations, special grants and fees for services provided.

Services are divided into specialized teams to ensure that the consumer gets
the best care.

Developmental Disabilities
Various services at various levels are
available to persons having a developmental disability. In- and out-of-home
respite, school/community transition, entitlement advocacy, specialized
counseling, resource planning, and vocational services including job and
daily living skills, and job coaching.

Youth & Family Services
A full range of mental health services
is available for children birth -18, their parents/guardians, and families.
Families with seriously emotionally disturbed children and developmentally
disabled children may be eligible for services. Mental health services
include: Family-focused outpatient therapy, case management, infant mental
health, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, home based, respite,
child waiver and wraparound services. Treatment is determined through a
family centered planning process.

Dual
Diagnosis- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Concerns
Following nationally recognized models of
integrated treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use
disorders, CSTS provides individuals with outpatient treatment at the level
of intensity needed to promote lasting sobriety and stability.
Project Outreach
(PORT)- Services for the Homeless
Project Outreach (PORT): Joint project with U of M
Department of Psychiatry, WCHO, and CSTS designed to offer supportive
services to the homeless mentally ill in Washtenaw county.

Person Centered
Planning
With client-selected family and
friends, a plan is developed to help clients realize their vision of long
and short term goals. Plans highlight the things greatly valued by the
client, and provide opportunities to gain new skills. The process is almost
exclusively controlled by the client.
