Waiver and Review Board

The Waiver and Review Board is responsible for reviewing the activities, policies, and administration of the Ann Arbor Housing Rehabilitation Program and meets on an as needed basis. The Board reviews cases presented by homeowners requesting waiver of Housing Program Guidelines in order to provide rehabilitation assistance. They also hear grievances concerning the Relocation Program and any contractor disputes or disbarment appeals. In addition, the Board may also periodically add to, amend, or revise the criteria for waivers. Such amendments do not require prior consent from City Council and become effective as of the date of the Board's approval. The Waiver and Review Board is unable to waive HUD statutory guidelines.
