City of Ann Arbor Water Meter Program

The City of Ann Arbor is in the process of installing new wireless water meter readers on each home located in the city.  Although there is no charge to the homeowner, in some cases it may be necessary to make other repairs to the plumbing in order for the installation of the meter to occur.  The Office of Community Development (OCD) is working with the City Utility Department to offer financial assistance to eligible low-income homeowners to cover costs associated with this process.

Water Meter Program Procedure:
1. Pre-application - Homeowners who are informed that additional repairs are needed in order to install the meter will be given a brochure to apply for financial assistance.  This form must be mailed to OCD to determine eligibility.
